Mythical Creatures Art Workshop

On Friday, May 9th, we attended a wonderful art workshop on “Mythical Creatures” at the Nelson-Atkins Museum.  The kids observed dragons in both medieval European culture and Chinese culture, as well as Hindu gods to get an idea of the diversity of the various mythical creatures and religious representations.  After our tour, the kids learned how to take cardstock, painted and patterned papers, construction paper and glue to make their own creatures to take home.

Take a look at these cool creatures!
